Biographical Note: Jan Michael Minkowski was a professor of electrical engineering, The Johns Hopkins University, 1961-1987. He was born in Zurich, Switzerland, March 7, 1916 and spent his early years in Warsaw Poland. He was admitted to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (E.T.H.) in 1946.
